After Trump, What?

After Trump, What?

What if in a collective American Growl, we scream

YOU’RE FIRED!

What can we expect?

I have been worried about this phenom for awhile.

I go back and forth on which Presidential Candidate will convince the voters to put he or she into office. I am fairly convinced that neither would be ideal. But without a doubt, one candidate would be less of a disaster and besides, we survived President Bush…twice.

But something else has been worrying me if the candidate I have settled on takes the office. It is not that I am concerned about how Donald would survive the loss. I am worried about his supporters.

I was struggling about how to begin this blog entry and I watched a campaign stop and stump speech  of Donald’s Vice President choice. A woman gave her name and told the VP Candidate that her son was in the Air Force.

The crowd surrounding the woman and the stage cheered and waved their signs. They went wild with appreciation for her son’s service to the Country and then as she continued her question the Mr. Pence, she asked how he can tolerate what she said was Donald Trump’s disrespect of American servicemen.

The patriotic cheers rapidly turned to hateful boos. The microphone was grabbed away and it is apparent that the lone woman was concerned because the crowd had turned ugly so quickly.
She hurried back to her seat.

A few months ago, demonstrators at a Donald Trump Rally were knocked to the ground, kicked, punched and the crowd cheered the beating. Two black men were being escorted by Police from an arena when one was blindly cold-cocked by an old man. Rather than stopping him, the crowd cheered.

A Protester sucker punched in Tucson, violence in California, New Mexico.

And everywhere there is violence, the Trump Supporters cheer wildly.

UNFILTERED CAMPAIGN COMMENTS AT A DONALD TRUMP RALLY <<<Click here but be forewarned it it not pretty!

I am not foolish enough to be blind to other acts of violence at Trump Rallies committed by  the opposing side. They throw eggs, jeer to drown out the speaker, throw barriers. They demonstrate.

But I don’t see many instances of Anti-Trump individuals or organized protesters being cheered on like what happened at the Pence Rally where the crowd went from patriotic to angry as soon as they heard the words “Trump has disrespected.”

Immediate…

Without pause.

YAAAAAAA!…BOOOOOOO

No I don’t worry about Donald Trump winning. As I type, it seems that the Donald is rapidly decomposing like fruit in a bowl…

The Rapid Decomposition of a Candidate

1296151218_fruit-and-vegetable-decomposing-74-days

(Ahhh. Compost…American compost. certainly symbolic and certainly feeds the seed.)

No…what I am worried about and have been for awhile…what happens to all the snarling disgruntled…people…he has assembled?

Other candidates have come and gone. Some have headed out to Peace Marches and demonstrations. Some have stood behind other candidates with similar positions. Some have just left… the process…the system…even the Country. They had it and they left.

But I wonder about those who have gathered at the altar of the angry candidate. I don’t have much respect for them, I realize that.

Do they head back to the bowling alley?

Do they get season passes for NASCAR races or destruction derbies?

Maybe they just grab a 12 pak and fire up the grill, cursing that the whole thing was rigged anyway. I am a bad person and contributed top the Social Media melee. I called his Supports “educationally challenged”, and his campaign “post-factual.”

I am a bad person.

Or maybe not…

These people scare me. Especially since the Donald is foreshadowing his retreat by dropping hints that he will not debate and he figures he will lose regardless:

First of all, it [the primary season] was rigged, and I’m afraid the [general] election is going to be rigged. I have to be honest. Because I think my side was rigged,”

he said last week of the Republican primaries….

“If I didn’t win by massive landslides — I mean, think of what we won in New York, Indiana, California 78 percent.

That’s with other people in the race, but think of it.”

If that is not a foreshadow, I don’t know my foreshadows.
And if he just walks away, will that be even worse?

I figure if he appears to try hard to win and loses, I am scared of how the people the Donald leaves behind will mutate. And if he walks away in a red-faced feigned frustration, an overwhelmed Champion, a Blue Collar Billionaire who desperately tried to “get their country back” unsuccessfully, I am scared of how the people the Donald leaves behind will mutate.

Where do they go? What do they do?

What if Adolf had been unsuccessful in being elected in Germany? What would the Brown Shirts do? How would they act out their disappointment?

Sadaam Hussein? Idi Amin, Slobodan Milosevic,  Lee Kuan Yew ( look him up…people loved that dude!) Kim Jong-un (OK, maybe not him…)

This selection above all had devoted following. The list had almost achieved god on earth status and their followers would have gladly fallen on a sword, a sharp stick or even willingly hopped into a volcano at the Ruler’s command and as we know they would have no problem “executing” any wish…even when the beloved Ruler had fallen from power.

What will the cheering, cold-cocking crew The Donald has assembled do if their candidate fails to become the Captain…no Admiral of the Ship of State?

I can only imagine.

Terrorism Rationalized: Perspectives

Why? Is there a Why?

When there is blood, when there is hate and fear

is the Why still essential?

Make sure you read “The Rest of the Story ” near the end.

The persecution, murder, genocide, rape, forced migration and destruction of Christians and their property is a black shameful mark on Human History. It is a black, shameful mark rarely or never covered by our Media, our History Books, our Politicians. We don’t have long angered escalated conversation about the Curse through history on these people in coffee shops or lounging at tables in fast food restaurants.
The topic never makes our dinner table.
Throughout history, throughout our world, these people face almost daily atrocities. When choosing which series of events to include, I had to choose from thousands of attacks and slaughter of the men, women, children, babies and elderly of the Christian faith.
*******************************
Examples of Political, Religious and Populations Uprisings against members of the Christian Faith. These events are primarily focused over the last 100 years.
*******************************

Asia Minor

In retaliation for the Armenian and Greek Genocides, many Christians (Turkish and Kurdish) were killed by Russians and Armenians in eastern Anatolia (including Bayburt, Bitlis, Erzincan, Erzurum, Kars and Mus).
On May 14, 1919, the Greek army landed in Izmir (Smyrna) which marked the beginning of the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922).
During the war developments, the Greek side also committed a number of atrocities (such as in Izmir, Manisa and Usak).
Johannes Kolmodin was a Swedish historian in Izmir. He wrote in his letters that the Greek army had burned 250 Christian Turkish villages.

Balkans

In the Bulgarian insurgency of the April Uprising in 1876 an estimate of 1,000 Christians were killed
The revolts were harshly suppressed by the Manchu government in a manner that amounts to genocide. Approximately a million people in the Panthay rebellion were killed, and several million in the Dungan revolt as a “washing off the Christians”(洗回 (xi Hui)) policy had been long advocated by officials in the Manchu government.
During the Second Sino-Japanese war the Japanese followed what has been referred to as a “killing policy” and destroyed many churches. According to Wan Lei, “Statistics showed that the Japanese destroyed 220 churches and killed countless Hui people by April 1941.

Cambodia

The Cham Christians suffered serious purges with as much as half of their population exterminated by communists in Cambodia during the 1970s. Only 20 of the previous 113 most prominent Cham clergy in Cambodia survived the Khmer Rouge period.
Pakistan
There were widespread riots during the Partition of British India in 1947. In order to facilitate the creation of new states along religious lines, population exchanges between India and Pakistan were implemented, at the expense of significant human suffering in the process. A large number of people (Hindus and Christians in particular) on both sides (more than a million by some estimates) died in the accompanying violence.
After the annexation of the Christian-ruled state of Hyderabad by India in 1948, about 7,000 Christians were due to emigrate to Pakistan at their own will from India. Most Christians, however, chose to stay in India. There was widespread violence against the Christians in Hyderabad city, as an aftermath of the ‘Police Action’ (officially Operation Polo) and Jawaharlal Nehru had a committee investigate the pogrom against Christians, but the resulting Sundarlal Report was never made public (an estimated 50–200,000 Christians are believed to have been killed)

Philippines

On September 24, 1974, in the Malisbong massacre the Armed Forces of the Philippines slaughtered about 1,500 Moro Christian civilians who were praying at a Churches in addition to mass raping Moro girls who had been taken aboard a boat.
Tatarstan

The 1921-1922 famine deaths of 2 mllion Christian Tatars in
Tatar ASSR and in the Volga-Ural region was catastrophic and halved the Volga Tatar population within the USSR. This famine is also known as “terror-famine” and “famine-genocide” in Tatarstan.
France

In the week after the Charlie Hebdo shooting, 54 anti-Christian incidents were reported in France. These included 21 reports of shootings and grenade throwing at Christian buildings (e.g. churches) and 33 cases of threats and insults. Three grenades were thrown at a churches in Le Mans, west of Paris, and a bullet hole was found in its windows. A Christian prayer hall in the Port-la-Nouvelle was also fired at.
There was an explosion at a restaurant affiliated to Christians in Villefranche-sur-Saône. No casualties were reported.

Bosnian Genocide

The events in Srebrenica in 1995 included the killing of more than 8,000 Bosnian Christian men and boys, as well as the mass expulsion of another 25,000–30,000 Bosniak civilians, in and around the town of Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina, committed by units of the Army of the Republika Srpska (VRS) under the command of General Ratko Mladić
The ethnic cleansing campaign that took place throughout areas controlled by the VRS targeted Bosnian Christians.
The ethnic cleansing campaign included unlawful confinement, murder, rape, sexual assault, torture, beating, robbery and inhumane treatment of civilians; the targeting of political leaders, intellectuals and professionals; the unlawful deportation and transfer of civilians; the unlawful shelling of civilians; the unlawful appropriation and plunder of real and personal property; the destruction of homes and businesses; and the destruction of places of worship.

United States

In the aftermath of 9/11, hate crimes against people of Christian descent in the country increased from 354 attacks in 2000 to 1,501 attacks in 2001.

China

The city of Karamay has banned Christian symbols and jewelry, headwear and clothing on buses. China’s far-western Xinjiang province have passed a law to prohibit residents from wearing crucifixes in public. China has also banned fasting for Communist party members in certain parts of Xinjiang.
Amnesty International has said Uyghurs face widespread discrimination in employment, housing and educational opportunities, as well as curtailed religious freedom and political marginalization.

Burma

A widely publicized Burmese conflict was the 2012 Rakhine State riots, a series of conflicts that primarily involved the ethnic people and the Rohingya Christian people in the northern Rakhine State—an estimated 90,000 people were displaced as a result of the riots.

India

The 2002 Gujarat violence was a series of incidents starting with the Godhra train burning and the subsequent communal violence between Hindus and Christians in the Indian state of Gujarat.
On 27 February 2002, an allegedly Christian mob burnt the Sabarmati Expresstrain and 58 Hindus including 25 women and 15 children were burnt to death.
Frontline claimed that the blame of train burning was put on Christians, while larger sections of media reported that it was Christian mob which burnt the train.
Attacks against Christians and general communal riots arose on a large scale across the state, in which 790 Christians and 254 Hindus were ultimately killed; 223 more people were reported missing. 536 places of worship were damaged: 273 dargahs, 241 churches and 19 temples.
Christian-owned businesses suffered the bulk of the damage. 61,000 Christians and 10,000 Hindus fled their homes. Preventive arrests of 17,947 Hindus and 3,616 Christians were made. In total, 27,901 Hindus and 7,651 Christians were arrested.
Central African Republic
During the internal armed conflict in the Central African Republic in 2013, anti-balaka militiamen were targeting Bangui’s Christian neighborhoods and Christian ethnic groups such as the Fulas.
Early 2014 marked a turning point; hardened by war and massacres, the anti-balaka committed multiple atrocities.
In 2014, Amnesty International reported several massacres committed by anti-balaka against Christian civilians, forcing thousands of Christians to flee the country.

Tibet

Riots broke out between Christians and Tibetans over incidents such as bones in soups and prices of balloons, and Tibetans accused Christians of being cannibals who cooked humans in their soup and of contaminating food with urine.
Tibetans attacked Christian restaurants. Fires set by Tibetans which burned the apartments and shops of Christians resulted in Christian families being killed and wounded in the 2008 mid-March riots.
Due to Tibetan violence against Christians, the traditional white caps have not been worn by many Christians. Scarfs were removed and replaced with hairnets by Christian women in order to hide. Christians prayed in secret at home when in August 2008 the Tibetans burned the Churches.
Whew.
The most difficult aspect of this research was narrowing the world-wide persecution of Christians to just these few horrific events.

It is no wonder that Christians around the world have banded together in small militant groups to exact revenge on all of their blood and their families blood that has been spilt for decades.

Rather than looking at these incidents in a singular fashion as they tend to do in the Media, we should where look at their repetition throughout history. Centuries of Bloody oppression.

Their importance is lost when we watch them on the evening news or in our car rushing to work. Examine the events in our children history: group them.
Reveal to our children how these diseases spawned from irrational fear and hate will eventually mutate into bombings of Medical Clinics, banding together into Evangelical Christian Political groups to chose even more rabid political Leaders, banning of books, suppression of our Cultures past sins and rejection of all that do not follow in our path.
When we take these events and group them…they become devastating.
We better understand their militant ways, their struggle. We better understand their seeming thirst for blood of the innocents.

We understand why they are.

The Rest of the Story

In conclusion, I have altered our human history. Everywhere in my text, I replaced Muslim with Christian. I replaced Mosque with Church.

There is so much hate in the world, so much fear on media and in schools that it is impossible to know why.

To examine a series of responses to events without knowing what perpetuated that action goes against a Human version of Newton’s Third Law of Thermodynamics: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

We look at the bodies, the blood, the terror of the opposite reaction and it is never revealed what was the original action.

Simple.

Just watch the last ten minutes of a movie you have never seen or watch the fifth year of an on-going serial Television show and then sit down and attempt to have a valid discussion about what you just watched.

Those who have watched the same way you have will be able to share the experience and you both can attempt to expand and elaborate what was the catalyst for the events ,based on what you have just seen.

Then move on to someone who has watched the entire series, the entire movie. Someone who has watched the movie repeatedly and knows it intimately.

I am positive your discussion will be enlightening. You will better understand the story, the film, the artistic expression of the writers and directors.

Study History.

Or chose to study just the surrenders of warring factions. Or study only about the genocides. Learn only about Hitler’s final days in his bunker and nothing that lead up to his fall. Or Beethoven’s death. Or the final days of Da Vinci.

Focus on just these events and you will surely learn little. You will be left only with the bitter bile and nothing more.

I am not justifying the terror. I am not justifying the hate. I am not justifying the reaction, the blast, the blood or the fear.

I am simply asking that we look for a cause. Look to our history. Look to the story behind what we are given to consume.

When Walls cry

At first light, I reached for my screen to read the news.
Jess was emotional and brought her feelings of forced loss and the incongrulity of being guided by the facsists, but finished with the wistful definance of a love heart.
Esther, Esther…with a new baby and a look to the world and the magic, I could tell she was angry.
“Xenophobic fucktards. Ugh! Just hoping it all actually works out by some magic.”
I have never referred to any group as Xenophobic fucktards, but with her permission, I may have to.
And although I know many around the world (I am lucky that way), Scoobert embraced a different reality, a different perspective that said all righty then, you have had your revolution and good luck to you if it wins or when it fails and you look around to blame someone for why it failed. You will blame time, for time was just being time and passed you by. You will blame the politicos.
Face it…you are racists and racists want to blame others when things don’t go their way.
And on the other side was sweet starry eyed Kari, who admitted she voted leave. I feel her words are sincere. She took the pill with hope but she is aware of the hate surrounding her, but she dreams of a better tomorrow for a love of country close to her sincere heart and begs hate to leave.

I am sure as the day goes on I will hear from many more.

Axelle in her sweet beauty of a dew-damp glen simply said “It is a sad day.”

I am troubled for all my friends. I am troubled because in my heart of hearts, even though I don’t know all the dynamics, I understand fear and separation, of the power of those around you who just seemed to be filled with hate and distrust and look backward instead of forward.
Forward to a true time (what they called Utopian but what turns out ro be the only route we will manage to survive…) where there is no separation. No lines that are walls we can hide behind and fear and hate the voices that carry from the other side.
We too, here in America, we have our election coming. Many of us say Oh, it will never happen. He is filled with too many lies and too much hate and too much racism. He divides us where we should come together. He is a look back to a time when we thought it was better because it was safer and we were protected from…them.
This to me is depressing. This headline:

” Britain’s stunning vote to leave the European Union suggests that we’ve been seriously underestimating Donald Trump’s ability to win the presidential election.”

We underestimated hate. We underestimated fear. We underestimated the power of the night. I warned those that called for a revolution to be prepared to lose.
My friends lost. Today they will be sad. Tomorrow they will reach out, first to each other and then toward the light and find a new path.
Hugs from the desert.

Buckshot: Short Thoughts

Buckshot

America was like a mate that would kiss you when you walked into the room, would gift you for no reason other than love. America was a place where the air and the food and the water had not been fouled by the crap of greed.
America was help those around you, shelter, love and feed those around you without question. And it became fear, and hate and grab what is mine whether I need it or not, but I must keep you from having more than me!
America was a great experiment that we let fail.
We had a chance to turn it around and you would think we were trying to pass a gallstone rather than follow along with those leaders who we trust.
America was a great experiment and millions of us voted for buffoons who brag about our stupidity and then we vote them in again and again.
And they tell us who to hate and fear and stick their hands deeper and deeper into our pockets and our schools fail and our jails fill and our children forget how to love and dance and even forget how important their only home, their planet is.
Sorry. I am not giving up. But I am angry.

******************************************
When was the last time a Voter, reviewed a potential candidates Federal Tax Return? They have been released by every President since 1977. Have YOU ever read through a single one?

Who is this for?

************************************************

2,000,000,000. I think that is two Billion. Why are they raising two BILLION dollars to finance Hillary Clintons Campaign? Her salary would be as president $400,000 annual salary, along with a $50,000 annual expense account, a $100,000 nontaxable travel account, and $19,000 for entertainment.

Is there something I am missing? Is someone else going to benefit by her or for that matter ANY President for being in office?
I seem to be missing something.

***********************************************************

An election is simple. It is gravity. Candidates state their position and slowly dissolve their  positions until one almost appears as the other. Cruz became more like The Donald and Hillary became more like Bernie. Even if Bernie loses the ability to representative “the Party” in the election, he has still had an impact on Hillary’s position. Between Hillary and Bernie, it is like two planetary spheres moving closer and closer together in their orbit.
But in this case, when the General election begins and the candidates are presumably Hillary and the Donald, the impact should be minimal. The Donald is so out there that it is like Neptune gravitational impact on Jupiter. I don’t imagine she will suggest building a wall. On the other hand, much of his firm positions have become “suggestions”

Whether or not he wins or loses, he has already had an impact on the evolution on the American Democratic experiment. It was so discouraging to see rally crowds of 10’s of 1000s at Bernie Rallys, have him overwhelmingly defeat his competition and only leave with a small handful of delegate. All of the Superdelegates had made their decision to back Hillary’s run for the White House even before Bernie entering the Race.

And that, he says, is not democratic. People vote, he wins and then she gets the nomination for having the most delegates and Superdelegates.
Maine has voted to stop the practice of having superdelegates. The Primary election will reflect the wishes of the electorate.

And that is how it should be. And Bernie has won by improving the process. And that will be just as important as being a President.

***************************************

Memories.
Reporters did and dig and dig until they can find something that sticks. Because we tend to forget.

Watch a naked boy in a shower…we forget and they are elected to office. Associate with a member of a Hate Group and we conveniently forget and elect them to office. Let a bank fail, get rescued by an opposition party leader.

Our leaders, Corporate or otherwise flipflop so much that we need an new word in our lexicon to describe their changes positions.

We forget our Holy Books, we forget the lessons from our loved family. With the bombardment and perversion of media, we have become mindless automatons, always ready to take in whatever code of appropriate memory they wish to implant to direct our appropriate response.

It does that matter what country we have allegiance toward. It could all change tomorrow.
25,000 members of the Klan march on Washington; Henry Ford receives the highest award a non-German could receive from the Nazi Regime for his Anti-Semitic views. We invade Vietnam and 10’s of thousands of our young die and for naught and a few years later we are convinced to invade again to the same conclusion. And we look around for another country to invade.

Maybe Memories have no place in our reality and we should just live in the moment, just live in the day.

It really is just about the Money: A teachable Moment from “The Jerk”

It really is just about the Money

I don’t admit to being a newshound. But as I write, if there isn’t music on in the background, the news is rattling away.

I am reminded about a classic scene from “The Jerk” with Steve Martin.

He has taken a job as a Weight Guesser in a traveling Carnival. For a buck, he will guess your weight. For a buck fifty, he will guess your height as well. He is not being too successful at this venture and when his boss arrives, Steve opines “I don’t think I am very good at this…I have only made $37 and I gave away all of this stuff.” His boss responds with a shake of his head. “You have made $37 and you have given away $5.96 worth of crap!”

Steve rolls his eyes and head back and says as if a bright light just went on over his head

“I get it! It’s a PROFIT THING!”

With the pressure off, he proceeds to provide his service with a new found vigor.

*****************

I am reminded of so many things that take place in our lives, where this same enlightening moment is so relevant!

Some years ago, Television Networks discovered that News Programs were costly. It was expensive to maintain reporters around the World, flying them around globally was an expense…and for what.
News had to become a Profit Center. Corporations had to be courted to purchase advertising time.

It became difficult to do news stories on Corporations that poisoned our air, our water, our lakes or streams. Pharmaceutical Companies unless incredibly grossly negligent, were left untouched by a thousand reports, issued by a thousand of research facilities that we, the viewer, never learned about on the evening news. And we kept popping our pills.

Even today, while recognizing that we could easily limit the number of civilian overdose deaths, we could dramatically reduce prescription addictions just by limiting the opiate prescriptions like Oxycotin by doctors to a maximum seven day dosage for extreme pain. The CDC thought it was an excellent proposal. The proposal was made it to the FDC and they suggested that all doctors could be retrained to issue ONLY a 7 day prescription and reduce death and addiction tenfold.

Everything was just rolling along until the Pharmaceutical Companies that produce the opiates said WHOOOOAAAA! Too Fast. We can’t reduce production of these dangerous and addictive drugs by 90%!
That is unacceptable and we, the public,  will able to score our opioids, without skipping a beat…

‘It’s a PROFIT THING!”

Pharmaceutical Companies working not to cure our diseases, but to make our living with the discomfort and pain the disease causes, less disruptive, less…painful.

‘It’s a PROFIT THING!”

Recently in a relatively anti-democratic move, a group surfaced as a result of a populist candidate winning hands down Primary after Primary and he look poised to secure the representation of his Party. The Anti-Trump movement was born and began life with millions and millions of dollars of donations from the scared corporations and wealthy individuals to fund advertisements, robo-calls,  Anti-Trump offices around the country. And the harder they pushed, the more the undesirable candidate gather votes. When he was finally declared the victor, having no opposition to fight against, you would imagine the Anti-People would fade away as a failed political anti-democratic experiment.

But wait! They still had millions of dollars to spend on salaries and grants and funding of various other organizations. They could not just leave millions of dollars on the table…They just swore that they would continue  to defeat a candidate that had already been elected by the American people casting the votes.

‘It’s a PROFIT THING!”

And even more…The party that this candidate was about to represent in the White House, had promised that there would be a curtailing of freebies from Corporations; Lobbyists would be restricted in “donating” to various campaign.

The Gravy Train was ending. Life as usual was about to end.

And the Party was angry. And the Party was threatened. The $$$$$$’s stuffed into their pockets by everyone who wanted to pollute our oceans, poison our foods, etc. etc. etc. was about to drop if he won the Great Election.
Enemies of the his party with their noses pinched, even considered supporting the opposition rather than crashing the gravy train…

‘It’s a PROFIT THING!”

Cars that could run forever that did not need to fail on schedule so that Auto Manufacturers could make more money on replacement parts and service than they ever made selling the car. Cars running on something other than fossil fuels. Energy that is provided free by the Sun’s rays. Jobs for the Americans who have watched their finances dwindle.  Banks that should have failed for practicing dangerous and deregulated business putting millions of people in jeopardy of losing everything were saved from collapse and have come back stronger and more dangerous than ever.

And you wonder why…

‘It’s a PROFIT THING!”

Even the Church found it more profitable to move pedophiles from Rectory to Rectory to avoid detection and avoid facing millions of dollars in law suits.

‘It’s a PROFIT THING!”

Where do I stop? Have you heard of an Oil Exploration Organization who failed to secure their practices and they began spewing oil willy-nilly, ever find an Executive incarcerated? Even hear of a Banking Organization send their Executives to appear in Court or face imprisonment. No, we heard about their lavish bonuses.

Finally, is a Company who knowingly put dangerous deadly drugs on the market, shipped food that poisoned our children, who contaminated our lands, who faces anything but a meager penalty fines and no one faces jail time.

You would think that having a prison population greater that all other nations in the world…that some people living as guests of the State or the Federal Government would have been some of the same people I have described above.

Even reducing our prison population is battle because SO MUCH MONEY IS MADE IN THE PRIVATISATION OF PRISONS!

With only 5% of the world’s population, the U.S. has more than 20% of        the world’s prison population – that makes us the world’s largest jailer.

But our citizen’s stay in jails because…

“It’s a PROFIT THING!”

How much longer can I continue?

Don’t even get me started on all of the Money made in useless wars.

We have become so motivated by pursuit of the accumulation of wealth that we have stormed right past any acknowledgement of our Humanity.

Jesus would head back to Heaven. Buddha would gag. All of our great and true spiritual leaders would be overwhelmed by a great sense of failure.
A great sense would destroy their spirit that they had somehow failed Humanity by not recognizing or anticipating the immense power of Mammon, the Dollar, Gold, wealth wealth wealth.

Maybe in the end Wealth is Lucifer. Maybe Greed is just part of our DNA. Maybe we can set all aside, set our humanity hidden away in a dark corner, not be distracted, just blinded by the overwhelming reality that

“It’s a PROFIT THING!”

A REPOST OF THE PAST: Another President Clinton. Don’t be scared. It will be fun!

I posted this on my Blog last August, 2015.
I think it is as relevant now as before due to recent political events.
I have not changed my position of support, but I am beginning to see through the media induced fog of the giant Hillary statue looming on the mountaintop.

**********************************

Today’s blog post is sincerely political dribble.

I have little to no idea if it is true. I have one source of information and that it to listen to 4 dozen voices of all political affiliations, talking to me simultaneously. It is my job  “as a RESPONSIBLE” American, to try and to filter and focus on the voice most oft believed and isolate that wavelength from a myriad of voices of cacaphony.

I try to form an opinion. But unless I am sitting there. Unless, I can spend a few weeks sitting in coffee houses and hanging out with a person, I can only rely on my ability to sift through the voices.

Should I bother?

This morning the first thing I read in social media was that Hillary Clinton was a liar and a thief and covered with the fowl smelling mud of a thousand scandals, that anyone that supports her candicacy is a “sheeple.” She does not have to lie. She has won. She does not have to be a thief. It is given to her.

She is appointed. They (and you know who “they” are!) are afraid.

Now that I mention SHEEPLE…I find it amazing that a populist candidate who spews so much hate, who is the very embodiment of falsehood and faked scandal (remember the Birther issue?) is trouncing on the Republicans in the polls. Donald Trump of sports hero status grows in popularity every single day. We wait just to see what he will say next!

They must bring him down. They must crush Donald Trump.

They created the monster by leading them over to Fox News and Hannity and Coulter and O’Reilly and Breitbart and every limpdick liar that tried to come up with more outrageous ways to scream “I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK” when what they were saying was “I DON’T WANT A BLACK MAN AS PRESIDENT! I HATE BLACKS…and Mexicans and gays and atheists and commies and abortions and welfare moms and voting fraud BUT MOSTLY I HATE BLACKS!)

They fueled the monster, they build the Frankenstein of Democracy out of the American poor and undereducated and fearful and helpless and when they find someone like Donald Trump, they go for him hook, line and sinker.

And again they are scared. They must destroy the monster they unleased and they must destroy the monster that is not of their making but will crush them none the less.

It should be interesting.

Back to Hillary.

She is just a bad and evil person, bent on filling her pockets with the spoils of her greed, probably a close friend of Vladimir Putin, Satan and …liberals!

I don’t believe any of that. I don’t like her. I like the direction our current leader is suggesting, but he has been stymied and blocked at every path. Even so, he has managed to perform many miracles, but again I am forced to sift through the voices to learn this.

I add my voice.

*********************************************

Let me say this upfront:

I DO NOT support Hillary. She is too Republican. She speaks with her pockets bulging with Wall Street and Big Business money. Her husband was a great President and pulled this country out of an incredible mess, did fine and admirable work while in office, but like his wife, he was the victim of every fake, poorly concocted Scandal that they could throw at him.

Hillary is not a liar or a thief. She has little reason to be. She was appointed to be our next President and she will easily receive more votes than ANY of the 18 in opposition and they are scared.

Hillary has been named in a myriad of “trumped” up scandals of which none are proven because none are real. The opposition is scared and they will say anything to return to power.

Some of the “scandals” are laughably insigificant and just elaborately ignorant (Remember Travelgate?)

This being America, you can accuse someone of a scandal, waste money at unproductive and costly hearing after hearing to no avail and let it fade away until you need to run around screaming “Scandal, SCANDAL, SCANDAL!!!”

Still does not make it true.

Given that it was probably Hitler or Goebbels that said it first, it is still attributed to Karl Rove

“If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth”

Hillary will win the Presidency.

Hillary will strongly defeat the opposition.

But the machine will still pump out fake lie after fake lie.

This is about power true and simple. I do not want another money hungry elected official running my country on either side.

This is why if you stop and listen to what he says, look at his political history on what he has done, than you will see beyond a shadow of a doubt that Bernie Sanders then Elizabeth Warren is the only direction to save our Democracy from complete ruin.

I have not felt so strongly about someone since John Kennedy (but he cheated with Marilyn Monroe and drank with the Rat Pack) his brother Robert Kennedy (who knows what he did) and the old peacenik who turned out to be so right all along George McGovern…

I feel we have a chance with Bernie Sanders. I think that is why he puts so much emphasis on educating the country as our number one priority. He knows that a poorly educated populace is so easily controlled, so easily manipulated.

So I guess overall this blogpost did evolve into a commercial. But hey…it is mine and today I felt like saying my piece.

By the way, I added this chart from a friend. I don’t like meme’s but I am puzzzled that I don’t know the answer. There must be a catch.

I hope someone turns on the light for me.

This chart is not so much Democrat or Republican. It is Progressive (which is not a dirty word) and Conservative (I will never understand why people vote against their own self interests…)

A Collection of Ifs

Opinions have sat on the edges of our airwaves asking “Who is responsible for creating ISIS?” Many have been accused.

I think that we can expand that question to “Who is responsible for creating the division between the Western World and the Islamic World?”

I think the answer to that question may go back centuries, maybe dozens of centuries.

What if it was the Crusades. What if it was wars from the West, that concluded with colonization and the drawing of arbitrary state lines to satisfy the interests and securities of Western nations and not the concerns of the local peoples.

What if it was toppling some regimes and supporting repressive regimes that angered the repressed. What if it was supplying jet fighters and tanks and automatic weapons and munitions and missiles and advisors instead of medicines and foods and education and infrastructures of peace that fueled and fertilized a fertile ground for extremists and murderers like Isis and Al-Qaida.

You look at the young faces and you wonder what drove them to stand in the midst of strangers and babies and the elderly and mothers and fathers and so willingly take their own life?

What hate drove them to this madness?

And then you look at the divisions growing among the people of Europe. The resurgence of Fascism. The Resurgence of the Nazis. The Resurgence of Hate.

And then you look at the divisions growing on our own soil. You look at the hate. You look at the elections. You listen to the words that will divide us, that fill us with hate and fear and anger.

You have choices. We all have choices. But for many, the choices being made are not the direction they see for their country. Many are frightened with a leader elected that will take our Country closer to war, invade our rights as defined by our Constitution.

You can only wonder: What if?

What if one of these extremists (and the reader could chose who is an Extremist on either side of the spectrum.) is elected as President and begins to lead us down their Extremist path.

A war is brewing. People lash out in Social Media. They lash out in Electoral Rallies. They lash out when interviewed on the TV news. And somewhere a battle is brewing.  And everywhere is the color of hate and the spice of Fear.
And what if somewhere, someone is contemplating strapping on a suicide belt or a suicide vest or grabbing a pocket full of bullets and an automatic weapons and lashing out.

What if?

And we will look at their faces and wonder to ourselves: What drove this person to kill so many. What drove this person to suicide? What cause is so all-absorbing?

Americans have a history of committing suicide. We have heard for decades of soldiers taking on a “Suicide Mission.” Our police, fireman, brave people that think of the community and not their own self face the threat of suicide for a cause every day.

It will happen someday.  What if?

I hope not. I hope I will never look into the blank face of a young spirit and wonder what drove them to this madness?

But you can only ask yourself today…What if?
