Why do we choose a path that leads us no where?

There is a reason that the bulk of Americans choose violence over peace, choose addiction in it’s many forms over a life free of chains, choose foods that poison us over rejecting what we know is bulging with the chemicals and processes that sicken us.

There is a reason that we choose Representatives that lie to us, take from us and rarely is ever offer, us a calm and peaceful world.

There is a reason that we choose hate over love, fear over freedom, Good over Evil. Or more likely, Bad over Good. Wjen was the last time you grabbed a Snickers bar and not the carrot?

The reason is taught to us every day, the reason bombards us from every magazine and radio and TV screen. It screams at us from every billboard. It is unavoidable. It is pervasive. It has been allowed in. It has been allowed to take over our land.

It is Greed. It is Control. It is Fear. It divides us. It keeps us down. In the old days, we called it The Man. But it is more. It is the Entity. The Multi-National Corporate Entity. It is born of struggle. It is fed on survival. It has no allegiance except to itself. It has no politic. It will consume until all has been consumed.

Listen to a man like Bernie that has had the same message of what we could be, of what our Nation could accomplish. This is not the ravings of a lunatic. He is not a Communist. He has kept true hope in his heart. True love in his words and has had the same message for decades.

They, and you know who “they” are, are afraid, and they mock him. Belittle him. Call him names. He is old. He is a Jew. He is a Socialist. He has no possibility to bring his message to fruition. He has no chance.

He is speaking into the abyss and we cry that we vote for Trump. He is speaking into the abyss and we cry that we vote for Cruz. And War And Welfare for the Rich. And children without food. And Families without homes. Education so cut and expensive it is useless. And a lack of Healthcare that is almost criminal. And on and on and on.

And watching last night, I see we have yet to learn our lesson and Bernie will fade and his message will turn to dust and we can go back to our game.
